Reiki Level II: Deprogramming Yourself Overview In conventional level II Reiki training, the student is introduced to Reiki symbols and guides to assist in the healing process. The symbols are psychically imprinted in the student's chakras and energy pathways in order to link the student to the Reiki source and to accommodate the ability to channel Reiki. The symbols represent specific energies, i.e., guides, whose role is to help implement and intensify the healing process. When the student activates the symbol, the corresponding guide appears and links him/herself to the symbol imprinted in the student's chakras. The energy of that guide begins to flow through the chakras and energy pathways in conjunction with the Reiki energy. The energy of the guides, however, because it is foreign to both the Reiki practitioner and the client compromises the pure Reiki energy and has the potential to lead to health problems in both parties.
